Unboxing Dada

Unboxing Dada is an unconventional publication that invites viewers to sit and deconstruct newsprint structures while immersing themselves in the early 20th-century art movement, Dadaism. The concept is inspired by a quote from avant-garde Romanian poet Tristan Tzara, who famously said, “Every page should explode because of its staggering absurdity, the enthusiasm of its principles, or its typography.” This quote encapsulates the essence of Dada—a movement created to mock and subvert the conventions of art itself, embracing the illogical, irrational, and absurd.
